How I do
business
The way in which I conduct myself and my
business, the reputation which I gain amongst my peers, and how I feel about
these things at the end of the day are very important to me. I want all of
my clients, potential clients, and others with whom I do business to know that I
hold high standards and take them very seriously. It is important to me to
gain your trust and to communicate my commitment to building a strong business
relationship.
Listed below are some statements of my
beliefs and how I strive to conduct business.

I value honesty and integrity and will
conduct myself and my business with this as a foundation. I will not
participate in any activities that are illegal or that I feel are unethical. |

I value the importance of family (both mine
and the client's) and place a priority on balance of work, family, and
personal commitments. |

I value diversity and my clients' values,
beliefs, privacy and confidentiality. I will treat clients with respect and
ask for the same in return. |

I will not use confidential information
entrusted to me for personal gain, nor will I represent competing or
conflicting interests of clients without written permission. |

I will not misuse authority given to me by
a client. |
 |
I will "stand" for the client and always
keep their best interests in mind. |
 |
I will value the client relationship as a
partnership and provide proactive, value-added service to meet the client's
needs. |
 |
I will service my clients in such a way
that they feel important to me and know that I value their business and
relationship. |
 |
I will be certain that I have the skills
needed to support the client in the manner needed; recognize and acknowledge
my limitations; and work to continually build my knowledge and skills. |

I will clearly communicate the terms of a
working relationship and expectations of both parties. I will continue
to be approachable, flexible, and provide honest and open communication
throughout the client relationship. |

I will do what I say I'm going to do.
My clients deserve the service and quality which I have promised to them. |

I reserve the right to ask questions and
the right to make mistakes. I will in turn give my clients the same
privilege. |

I accept full responsibility for the work I
perform, admit mistakes, correct them promptly, and only guarantee results
that are within my power to deliver. |

I will keep detailed records of the work I
perform and my client relationships. All records remain confidential,
will not be released without client consent, and are available to the client
upon their written request. |

I will conduct daily virus updates and
scans, and backup all files. |
 |
I will use my knowledge and experience in
ways to help other VA's grow professionally, grow their businesses, and
strengthen public understanding of the VA industry. |
 |
I will not intentionally damage the
reputation of my clients, another VA, or anyone that I do business with. |
